This post is about ways to celebrate Spring & Autumn Equinox
The equinox is the moment when day and night are approximately equal in length because the Sun is directly above the Earth’s equator. There are two equinoxes each year:
Spring Equinox – Occurs around March 20-21 in the Northern Hemisphere and September 22-23 in the Southern Hemisphere. It marks the transition from winter to spring.
Autumn Equinox – Occurs around September 22-23 in the Northern Hemisphere and March 20-21 in the Southern Hemisphere. It signals the shift from summer to autumn.
On these days, the Earth’s axis is neither tilted toward nor away from the Sun, resulting in nearly equal hours of daylight and darkness across the globe.
People celebrate the equinox because it marks a significant shift in nature, symbolising balance, renewal, and change. Many ancient and modern cultures have traditions tied to the Spring and Autumn Equinox for spiritual, agricultural, and astronomical reasons. Both equinoxes hold deep meaning for many cultures, symbolising balance, transition, and the natural cycle of life. 🌎✨
There are so many ways we can support our healing and recovery from trauma and the self-protective behaviours that have become self-destructive. Here are some things you can do to celebrate and connect with your soul-self at this time of the year🍂
